"The UCLA Anderson MBA Admissions Committee has released its Round 3 admissions decisions. Each new admit will be personally welcomed by a phone call and/or email from a member of the Admissions Committee", notified The MBA Admissions & Financial Aid Team at Anderson School of Business(UCLA).

Round 3 applicants may view their decision by logging on to their online application account.

The MBA Admissions & Financial Aid Team further informed that all waitlist candidates will be re-evaluated on an ongoing basis over the summer months. Individuals will not be kept on the waitlist any longer than necessary.

MBA Admissions Decisions for Round 3 applications and those currently on the waitlist will be released this Thursday, 4 June 09.

London Business School: Stage 3 admission decisions deadline

According to LBS Admissions Office, if you have submitted an application in Stage 3 for a place on the Full-time MBA programme, you can expect to receive your decision later on 22nd May (UK time)

Admission decisions will be sent to all applicants by email.

HBS Round 3 Notifications!

On Wednesday, May 13, HBS will release round 3 notifications (most likely around noon. Decisions may include a few offers to join the waitlist)

Further between May 13-20 - some admits from the waitlist, some releases from the waitlist, and some invitations to remain on the waitlist for another month or so are expected.

Wharton Round 3 Mid-Release Decisions Posted

Wharton MBA Admissions & Financial Aid Team informed on April 9th that all Round 3 mid-release decisions have been posted (i.e., all applicants for this round have either received an invitation to interview or a deny without interview decision).

All those who applied to the Wharton MBA Program in Round 3 may check their online status using the logon and password they used to create their application.

For those who are invited to interview, the last day to complete an interview is Thursday, 23 April, 2009.

The final release date for decisions for all interviewed candidates is Thursday, 14 May, 2009. At that time, interviewees will receive one of three decisions: admit, deny, or waitlist.

UCLA Anderson: Waitlist Guidelines for Round 2

Anderson School of Business(UCLA), on its blog, laid out the guidelines sent out to all waitlist candidates from Round 2 (including those who remain on the list from Round 1).

"We will retain your name on the waitlist for consideration at the end of Round 3 unless you request your application be withdrawn. If you would like to withdraw, please e-mail wlmgr@anderson.ucla.edu, using the subject header: “Waitlist Remove.” If you would, please include your reasons for withdrawing in your message", informed Mae Jennifer Shores, the admissions director at Anderson School of Business(UCLA).

Stated UCLA Waitlist Guidelines are as below:

• " * All waitlist candidates who do not ask to be removed from the list will be reconsidered for admission in Round 3 and notified of the Admissions Committee decision by 6pm Pacific Time of the Round 3 decision release date of June 4, 2009. Decisions include: admit, waitlist continue and deny.
• 
  
• * In the spirit of fairness and equity, we will not accept additional materials for inclusion in your application, except for new GMAT test scores or final grades for academic coursework completed since the time of application. (Please note: decisions are made across multiple criteria and submission of additional materials beyond test or academic scores would not alter the original admissions decision.)
• 
  
• * In the same spirit of fairness and equity, we are unable to offer applicants who have already had an interview another one. Waitlist candidates who have not already been interviewed may be invited for one at a future date.
• 
  
• * There is no individual person in the office assigned to manage the waitlist. All waitlist decisions are handled by the Admissions Committee.

• * Feedback is not offered to waitlist candidates.

Wharton: Waitlist Procedures for Round 2

Wharton MBA Admissions Committee in its blog post informed its waitlisted candidates about Wharton's waitlist procedures.

According to Wharton's MBA Admissions Office:

• * "We will retain your name on the waitlist for consideration at the end of the next round unless you request your application be withdrawn. If you would like to withdraw, please e-mail mba.admissions@wharton.upenn.edu, using the subject header: "Waitlist Remove."

She further informed that all waitlist candidates will be re-evaluated along with Round 3 applicants and receive one of three admissions decisions on the Round 3 decision release date of 4 June 09: admit, deny or continue waitlist.

Harvard Business School: Updates on all 3 Application Rounds

"This is the time of year when we have all three rounds in play, so here is some news for everyone", said Dee Leopold, HBS Director of Admissions and Financial Aid, in her blog post today.

She provided updates on all 3 application rounds as quoted below:

" *Round One Waitlist - We will be extending offers of admission to about 40 round one waitlisters shortly after April 2. We will continue to maintain a waitlist and Eileen Chang will send out an update in early April.

*Round Two Notification - April 2 is the notification date. All decisions will be released online - you will receive an email instructing you to check your status. We won't be making any congratulatory phone calls in advance of April 2!

*Round Three Interview Invitations - Many, but not all, will go out on April 3. "

Tuck releases its January Round Decisions

Karen Marks, Tuck associate director of admissions informed on Tuck admissions blog released its January Round decisions on Friday. Karen said that this was an apt time to discuss the decisions that applicants have to make at this point. Some of the applicants might been accepted at multiple schools and may be weighing their options. Others may be in at just one school and might be assessing whether or not that school is a fit. Every aspirant might be wondering whether to wait a year and reapply or defer, and finances are likely to be a factor for many.

Karen added that if one has been admitted to Tuck and is wondering if this is the right school/ right time, then they would be happy to talk to applicant about their situation. She said,"As you probably know, we believe in transparency here and we will not be at all offended if you explain areas of concern. It makes sense to think critically about what we have to offer and whether or not Tuck is the best match for your needs - we wouldn't have admitted you unless we trusted your ability to make good, thoughtful decisions! We understand that many factors influence these decisions, including partner and family input. Please know that we are here as a resource for you, happy to have an honest discussion."

Karen further tried to help by saying that they can also help aspirants to connect with current students and alums, who can share a different perspective. Admitted Students Weekend is a terrific time to meet one's cohort and learn more about life at Tuck.

UCLA Anderson: Early Batch of Round 2 Admits Released

Mae Jennifer Shores, the admissions director at Anderson School of Business(UCLA), informed on The MBA Insiders Blog that the UCLA MBA Admissions Committee has released a 2d small batch of admit decisions to Round 2 applicants this morning. According to the blog post
members of the Committee are emailing and calling each new admit to welcome him or her to our community. She also notified that this was their final release of early decisions prior to the final decision release date of Thursday, 26 March 09.

Shores added further,"I know from experience that a lot of speculation typically follows early decision releases or changes from officially posted deadlines. The Admissions Committee decided to surprise a 2d batch of applicants it has approved for admission. The early announcement will provide these newest admits additional time to plan and prepare for our admitted student weekend (Anderson Days II) on 4-5 April 09."

According to Shores, if you did not hear from the Admissions Committee today, you are still under consideration for admission. There is no order to the release of decisions.

According to a post on UCLA's The MBA Insiders Blog," The UCLA MBA Admissions Committee released a small batch of admit decisions to Round 2 applicants this morning via email."
"Members of the Committee are also calling each new admit to welcome him or her to our community. We will release all final decisions by Thurs, 26 March 09." informed Mae Jennifer Shores, the admissions director at Anderson School of Business(UCLA)

Shores said,"I know from experience that a lot of speculation typically follows early decision releases or changes from officially posted deadlines. The Admissions Committee decided to surprise the small batch of applicants it had already approved for admission. The early announcement will provide these individuals with additional time to plan and prepare for our admitted student weekend (Anderson Days II) in early April."

She further reported that there was no order to the release of decisions. She said,"If you did not hear from us today, it is only because we are still evaluating applications and you are still under consideration for admission."

Wharton's MBA Admissions & Financial Aid Team informed on Wharton Admissions Blog that All Round 2 mid-release decisions have now been posted that is the applicants for Round 2 should have either received an invitation to interview or a deny without interview decision. They further informed that for all those who are invited to interview, the last day to complete an interview is Thursday, 12 March, 2009.

MBA Admissions & Financial Aid Team reported in its blog post,"Interviews will be available on campus with second-year Wharton MBA Students who are full members of the Admissions Committee, off campus with alumni, and off campus in various “Hubs” around the world by Admissions staff members. All interview options have equal weight within the admissions process"

They further informed that Candidates who are offered an interview will receive their final admissions decision by 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on Thursday, 26 March 2009.

HBS Round 1 Notifications!

On January 21 HBS will notify its decision to all first round applicants.

HBS Admissions Director Deo Leopold in her blog stated, " Some time on Wednesday - most likely before noon - you will receive an email from HBS MBA Admissions indicating that your decision is available. You then log in to your account and there it is."
"We don't make phone calls in advance of this. Really. None. Admits will start to receive congratulatory calls later in the day, but notification is always online. So if you're waiting to hear from Harvard, no need to jump when the phone rings or worry when it doesn't", she said.

From the blog: Applicants invited to join the waitlist on January 21 will receive a follow-up email later in the day on Wednesday from Eileen Chang, waitlist manager. The waitlist will be comprised of a mix of candidates who have been interviewed already and those who haven't.

For those candidates who are not admitted, we are unable to offer personal feedback about your application. Even if we had the staff capacity to do this during the application season, it probably wouldn't be as helpful as you wish. The vast majority of applicants are certainly academically qualified to be here and would bring something interesting to the classroom. The challenge of selection is different from the process of evaluation - in our effort to bring together a diverse and textured class, we make many very tough calls.
